NYFW Autumn/Winter 2010. Daywear.

A few of my favourite picks from New York Fashion Week.

These looks are arguably more casual but I love that they could be dressed up and take you from day to night. These are all things I would love to wear. Mainly I like a look that has very little colour - black, whites and different shades of grey are my idea of heaven and they're always classic - but when there is colour I like it to be an incredibly vibrant injection that you might not traditionally consider, such as the bright orange and pink hues seen at Charlotte Ronson. I love extremes, I'm really feeling for minidresses and maxidresses - nothing inbetween. Skinny leather trousers and top-heavy looks (oversized mannish coats, jackets and knits) are also personal favourites. Other trends from the Autumn/Winter 2010 Ready-to-Wear collections that I absolutely love include sheer layering and the belted look (belts over coats, yum).

(love this look, always a fan of sheer hold ups and skyscraper ankleboots, desperate for a duffle coat)

(really want this jumper! )

(this dress is perfection and could easily take you from day to night - longsleeves and high neck with a hint of sheer, teamed with a shorter than short hemline, sheer holdups and skyscraper ankleboots, love it!)

Proenza Schouler
(Without a doubt my favourite collection from New York this season, so much to like - skyscraper ankleboots, sheer hold ups, thigh highs hemlines juxtaposed with high necklines, sheer fabric, tiny belted waists, high waistlines under longsleeved cropped tops, skinny trousers, patterned knitwear, leather, largely colourless but with a few injections of vibrant colour here and there etc. The whole collection was just absolutely amazing.)
More soon.
