Ear party

My latest style obsession is ear cuffs. Anyone who knows me will know I'm not a big consumer of costume jewellery, I'm never really sure how to wear it and prefer to keep it minimal. I wear the same Lucy Hutchings necklace every day and - other than my wedding ring - that's it. I sometimes envy the girls who look so effortless laden with Isabel Marant and Daisy Chakra 'arm parties' (see: manrepeller), and dripping with stacking rings, but it's just not for me.

What I do love however is a great statement piece that can transform a look and this one simple item packs a stylish punch.

My interest was first piqued at Chanel's SS12 show where models donned ornate, coral-like creations on the catwalk, and then again when super stylist Caroline Sieber was spotted pairing her mint green Christopher Kane shorts suit with one of the very same beauties.

I contemplated doing the whole 'actually piercing my ear all the way round' thing a la Daphne Groenveld on the cover of Self Service magazine, or cooler-than-cool Mossy; but why go through all that pain when you can buy a quick fix that clips on?

While I love Chanel and Erickson Beamon (and what girl doesn't?!), I've opted for this more affordable version from ASOS. Can't wait to get my ear party on!

More soon.
